Comments: Jane only seems to appear with her parents in the 1871 census, aged 4. Her birthplace is recorded as Sheerness.
A Jane Milner, aged 14, appears in the 1881 census working as a servant (nurse?) in the household of Herbert Masters on 13 Alma Road in Minster. Here her place of birth is entered as Minster, but this may have just been assumed to be the same as the other household members.
Mark and Sarah's three daughters (Elizabeth, Jane and Florence) are referred to as Mrs. Hare, Mrs. Jacobs and Mrs. Phillips. So it appears Jane married a Mr. Jacobs.
An entry appears in the GRO indices for the marriage of a Jane Milner, in Jul/Aug/Sep 1889 in Sheppey Kent (volume 2a page 1416). On the same page appears a Charles Edward Jacobs.
One Jane Jacobs appears in the 1891 census, living with husband Charles. Her age is entered as 24, and her place of birth Sheppey.
Jane Jacobs appears again in the 1901 census, her age entered as 35, and her place of birth again entered as Sheppey.
