[Monday 31st May 2021]
I headed to Wiltshire today to explore Fyfield Down, the place from which the sarsen stones used to build the stone circle at nearby Avebury (as well as some of Stonehenge) are believed to have been taken from.
[Saturday 29th May 2021]
Halloumi and chips on Hampstead Heath for lunch. Then in the evening we went to round to some local friends for dinner and karaoke.

Had the day off work today. Breakfast at a new cafe near home with Chie in the morning, then a long relaxing pub lunch at the Flask in Highgate with Christian.

[Wednesday 26th May 2021]
Took the afternoon off to race down to Sussex to view a wood which was for sale, but dithered slightly when I got there, and ultimately found it had been sold already.

The girls had other plans for dinner this evening, so I went and had a pizza and some Burgundy on the heath, and was kept company by a squirrel.
[Wednesday 12th May 2021]
Bit of an unusual wine (for me) ths evening - a Vacqueryas, from the Rhone - a vineyard once owned by Steven Spurrier, he of "Judgement of Paris" fame.

Unusually late walk to the heath, taking advantage of the longer daylight hours I went after dinner for a change.

Tom the wine merchant delivered a mixed case of red Burgundy today, so I could broaden my horizons beyond the Cote de Nuits.

[Sunday 2nd May 2021]
Went for a rash and ill advised day trip in the car all the way down to Rye, followed by Camber Sands. Over five hours of driving in total, in return for half an hour queuing in the rain for fish and chips in Rye, then probably even less time in the cold, wind and rain on Camber Sands.

[Saturday 1st May 2021]
Went into the centre of London in the morning / early afternoon to but birthday presents for Chie. Haven't been into the centre like that for ages, for obvious reasons. While in that neck of the woods I had a quick stroll around St. James's to see if any of my old favourite pubs might be open for outdoor service, but alas not. Later on in the afternoon I took Erika out for an ice cream.
