His place of birth is entered as Guernsey St. Martin, and his occupation is road sweeper. |

This puts her date of birth around 1920. Her place of birth is recorded on the marriage certificate as Guernsey. Sure enough, a 1 year old Lily Woodland (note the lack of an 's' on the end) does appear in the 1901 census, living in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, place of birth recorded as Guernsey, St. Martin. |
