In the 1891 census, his age is entered as 50 (it seems more likely the 1881 entry is an error). Here his occupation is entered as Florist, and his place of birth is as above.

Aged 38 at the time of the 1881 census, where her birthplace is recorded as Kent Gravesend.

Aged 48 at the time of the 1891 census, her birthplace is recorded again as Kent Gravesend.

Aged 58 at the time of the 1901 census, when she was living with her son Herbert. Her birthplace is recorded again as Kent Gravesend.

There is a record of a christening on 29th September 1867 at Saint John Penge, Surrey for a Frank William Breed. His father is recorded as William Breed, and his mother is recorded as Mary Elizabeth rather than Elizabeth Mary.

Aged 21 at the time of the 1891 census, at which time he is still living with his parents. His occupation is entered as Grocer's Assistant, and his birthplace is again Penge.

Aged 31 at the time of the 1901 census, His place of birth is recorded again as Penge, and his occupation "Traveller On Coin Journeygoods", whatever that means.

From talking to Blanche's great niece Cornelia, it appears that "uncle Herbert" may have followed in his father's footsteps and taken up floristry as well at some point.
