Al suggested going for a drink this evening, primarily as we'd been having an email thread about plans for Royal Ascot, and my rather outlandish plan for being admitted to the Royal Enclosure, and he wanted to discuss it in person. He suggested that he'd come to Belgravia for a change, so we started out at the Horse and Groom, then went for an aperitif at Joe's (the Olivo chain's bar, above Olivomare), then dinner at Oliveto, rounded off with a final drink at the Boisdale. That was all very civilised.
