New Year's Day

Had a lazy morning in at home.

In the afternoon, Chie and Erika headed up to North London for a New Year's Day party at her friend Naoko-san's house. I'd originally planned to leave them to it, as I had a couple of things I wanted to do at the new flat - I think I wanted to take yet more measurements, or something - I forget exactly now. I was done at the new flat pretty quickly though, and it occurred to me there was actually quite a handy Overground service from around there to near where Naoko-san's house, so I hopped on that and went to meet them all.

Rather predictably ended up having a banal conversation about houses, builders and so on for most of the time I was there, but this was made more bearable by a free flowing supply of hot sake and some rather nice chirashi sushi.
