Christmas is Cancelled

I expected to wake up with the dreaded spots this morning, but didn't. I did however feel generally quite unwell, feverish and tired the whole day, so spent a lot of it in bed. As I didn't really feel up to looking after Erika, Chie took the day off work, and effectively ended up looking after us both.

Regardless of my lack of spots, I felt pretty sure this was the start of me getting the dreaded pox, so today we decided to just give up on any hope of trying to travel and visit any family at all over Christmas, and I resigned myself to the fact that we'd be staying put for Christmas, and I'd probably spend it being very ill.
