Guildford and FitzroviaPosted on 2013/11/15 22:31:16 (November 2013). [Sunday 10th November 2013]
To round off Mum's weekend down south, the four of us headed down to Guildford for the day to see Adrian, Liz and the kids. We had a particularly lovely time there, Erika played with her cousins and Adrian and Liz made an excellent Sunday roast for lunch.
Towards the end of the afternoon Chie, Erika and I got the train back to London (Mum was heading straight back to the Midlands from Guildford).
In the evening I went to the new St. James Theatre with Robert and Iain to watch the Fitzrovia Radio Hour. It's a sort of spoof 1940s radio show where a cast of 5 enact radio dramas in evening dress whilst also industriously creating the sound effects in real time, using a large array props. It was right up my street and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if there were a couple of disparaging remarks made about Pimlico, to which I took slight exception.
