Old Malt Cask Port Ellen

Following last week's whisky tasting I was left with a nagging doubt that I might have just gone off whisky altogether - it seemed like a long time since I've had a whisky that I've really enjoyed. So this evening I re-acquainted myself with an old favourite - an Old Malt Cask bottling of Port Ellen, which was very similar in date, age, and style to the superb Fortnum and Mason Old Malt Cask bottling I'd bought quite a few years ago, a bottle which had sadly long since been polished off.

I did indeed successfully remind myself that I do still like whisky.
