For dinner this evening I made an unusual variant on mash including parsnips and leeks as well as potatoes. Chie and I had this with vegetarian sausages, Erika had it with mashed tomato, chickpeas and spinach. I ran Erika's portion through the blender, and I think that ended up much tastier, as the parsnip was better integrated and you didn't get an occasional surprise as we did.
Later on in the evening I watched the first episode Francesco da Mosto's Italy: Tip to Toe on iPlayer. I think it's actually a few years old now, and a vaguely remember having seen part of it before, but nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed it and it instilled in me a sudden desire to travel.
