I was determined to have something a bit different for dinner, so scoured Sainsbury's for some interesting ingredients as I often do, expecting to be disappointed, when I came across a new Linda McCartney product - Fish Free King Prawns. I'm always keen to give things like this a go, and was pleased to also find Cavolo Nero - my favourite brassica, and a pesto in a jar from Sacla which was suitable for vegetarians. So on arriving home I combined these things together, with some fresh trofie pasta I'd bought a while back, to make a dinner which ended up being reminiscent of a lunch we'd had in Venice (or to be precise a combination of our two respective lunches). I'm not sure if pesto with "seafood" is really the done thing, but seeing as these "prawns" had of course never seen the sea, it didn't really seem to matter. It was a very good combination and I was very pleased with the end result.
