Off to South Wales

[Saturday 16th February]
Went to South Wales to spend the weekend with Vera and Robin.

For a change we went by National Express - mainly to save money - although I can't say I particularly enjoyed the experience. The coach was pretty grubby, it felt very cramped compared to the train, and it seemed to take an eternity to get there.

When we did finally arrive, just after midday, Vera and Robin met us at the coach station, and from there we went for a brief tour of the Roman amphitheatre and baths at Caerleon, before then going for a very nice pub lunch at the Wheatsheaf, a great little pub.

The remainder of the day was wiled away very pleasantly back at Vera and Robin's house, generally lolling about and relaxing.
