Trendy Telly TypesPosted on 2006/04/27 16:03:09 (April 2006). [Thursday 27th April]
I am lucky enough to be working with a contractor at the moment, who is not only a very nice guy, but is also very well connected in the broadcast industry here in Japan. So in the evening today he had arranged to go for a few drinks with a TV producer friend of his, and very kindly invited me along. It is great to have the opportunity to hang out with these kind of broadcasting types - I find it a very interesting industry, full of lots of great people. My new found friend was no exception - given that he was from the production side rather than the engineering side, he was somewhat more swish and trendy than the usual TV people I meet, but nonetheless very affable and down to earth.

Totally unrelated to this post but I will be in Japan at the end of the month, there is my designer together with me this time, so I was thinking that maybe we could see each other somewhere... She doesn't speak much english BUT you speak italian so we are sorted! :)

Do you mean the end of May?
Agggh..... I have another horrible creeping feeling of a schedule conflict - I think I might be in Seattle again around that time!
Anyway though, please let me know when you get an idea of the dates, and I'll try to get a more fixed idea of when my next Seattle trip is. Hopefully at least there'll be some overlap...
It's starting to get silly isn't it?

SHITE! I will check the dates again but I will be in Tokyo from the 21st od May (I think)... It is starting to get silly, but now I have the strange feeling that IF we ever meet again in Japan with none of us having to go in 2 days something TERRIBLE will happen (or maybe something beautiful!)... Oh well, will call you on Tuesday maybe from work.

Oh OK - well you never know, for once it might work out OK... I don't know any exact dates for my next trip to Seattle, but I've heard a vague mention of end of May / beginning of June... So long as they can make the more into June than May, then it could work out much better this time round!
