Having discovered recently that some of my ancestors owned a bakery in Romsey, I was keen to go and visit the place to see if I could find any trace of it. Nicer still was the fact that I was able to drive there myself, and Chie just came along for the ride. In Romsey, we found the street where the bakery had been, and a building on the same site, but not much more of a trace than that. Still, Romsey is quite a nice little town which was actually worth a visit regardless of my family history angle. After leaving Romsey I was really keen to get to the sea, so we headed South for Lymington, and went for a nice walk along the beach in Milford. Got back home around 6 or 7 and had curry for dinner.
