GuildfordPosted on 2004/10/27 14:37:43 (October 2004). [Sunday 24th October]
Went to Guildford to visit my brother and his wife, plus my niece and nephew. Had a very nice lunch, and the kids were adorable as ever. I drove on the way there, which seemed to take ages. This is partly because I'm still avoiding motorways, and partly because we got a bit lost. Still, I did feel a sense of achievement nonetheless - I have been to visit my brother lots of times, but have always in the past had to rely on public transport and/or lifts from other people. It was nice to get there under my own steam (so to speak) for a change. In the evening I made some roast potatoes, along with some steamed kale and these Quorn thingies in breadcrumbs with Gruyere. Made parsely sauce instead of gravy. Quite nice.
