Aged 22 at the time of the 1901 census, his place of birth is entered as Sheerness, Kent. His occupation is entered as draper's assistant. At this time he is living as a boarder in the household of his future mother in law Sarah Milner. Presumably this is where he met his wife Florence.

There is an entry in the GRO indices for the birth of a Florence Ada Milliner in  Jul/Aug/Sep 1879 in Sheppey (volume 2a, page 847).

Aged 1 at the time of the 1881 census, hir birthplace was recorded as Sheerness, Kent. Here her name is entered as "Florence A. Milner", so her surname is spelt Milner rather than Milliner.

Aged 11 at the time of the 1891 census, she is to be found living with her mother. Here her name is entered as "Florence Ada Milner".

Aged 21 at the time of the 1901 census, again her birthplace is recorded as Sheerness. At this time she is still living with her mother, and her occupation is recorded as draper's assistant. Again her surname is spelt Milner rather than Milliner.

May relate to Florence. Here the name is entered as MILNE(S?) FLORENCE NELLIE, not a perfect match, but the age (34) together with the date of death (02/04/1913) could well be a match. Her address is entered as 18 MARINE PARADE.
