HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOGENZO!Posted on 2006/06/06 10:28:27 (June 2006).
[6th June 2006]
Today is exactly one year since I started this blog in 2005. I was in Hiroshima then, together with John, who I will thank forever since he allowed me to have my little site, a thing that I really wanted to have going.
The FIRST POST was quite boring but it marks a beginning of something.
After one year many posts have passed, most of them rants and complaints about life, others about my travels and the people I meet.
It's something that I like keeping, a bit like a diary, done with the secret idea that someone might actually like it or that in the future it will be turned into a book.
Future is future, at the moment there is only rejoicing for the blog is one year old, and although it doesn't speak yet it's on its feet already!
Thanks to all the readers, keep coming!

Happy anniversary!
It has certainly provided me with a lot of very entertaining reading over the last twelve months - so it was easily worth the initial effort in setup.
In that last year the 'Maison has sort of transformed hasn't it? I think that was the real turning point from it being basically just a site with my stuff on (plus the message board of course), into a real community thing.
I wish I was there now so we could toast this worthy event with a glass of champagne each...!

There will certainly be times in the future when we will toast to the blog, life, frindship and all the rest.
Unfortunately we are separate by something short of 7000miles, so the picture of us toasting will have to suffice.
As for the Maison, it's great to see that it has grown into something "different", I take great pride in being part of this site!

Ha! I doubt that Lox!! :) In the UK there was a tradition of quite rude postcards you could buy while on holiday at the seaside. They depicted some cartoon of a man and a woman in usually "naughty" circumstances... Usually double-entendre jokes. The candle joke sounded very much like one of these!! :)
