Tried to get some photos from the train as it went along the north coast of Wales.

Changing trains at Llandudno Junction.

I had a bit of time before the next train at Llandudno Junction so I popped out of the station for a bit to see what I could find in the nearby supermarkets.

At Penmaenmawr now.

The first of today's "proper" stone circles (i.e. with stones actually standing up still), which was also being visited by a foal.

Lovely.

I rather liked this lesser cousin of the more famous stone circle here.

This is now the more famous stone circle in the area, sometimes called the Druid's Stone Circle.

It's rather impressive but consequently attracts a lot of visitors.

I was in that indecisive period I often get around this time of day on these expeditions, so I had a sit down in this spot for a while and just enjoyed the view.

Finally after all the procrastination and messing about I got on with cooking dinner. It was a strange sort of meal - I was hoping to cook something iconically Welsh (Glamorgan sausages perhaps?) but the local supermarkets weren't very good in that regard so instead I cooked some ravioli with (fake) chicken and leeks, the latter being the only tenuously Welsh component.

My tent, discreetly set up next to the lesser of the two main stone circles, once I had satisfied myself it was unlikely anyone else was going to walk past that evening.
