As we had a bit of time to spare in Paris, we thought we'd go to my old favourite cafe near Gare de l'Est - only to find it appeared to be closed for refurbishment (and possibly a change of ownership / name...?).

In the alternative cafe I found - La Chaufferie - which was perfectly pleasant, and helped to wile away the time until our Eurostar back to London.
