Another view back to the Jack and Jill windmills.

13:15:59
The Plough at Pyecombe, where I stopped for lunch.

13:30:58
Slightly oddly the pub at been turned into an Italian restaurant. So I had this mozzarella in carozza to start.

13:31:00
Followed by this pasta dish. Not exactly what I was in the mood for part way through a country walk on a Sunday lunchtime but there weren't really any other options!

13:59:09
Heading up the hill from Pyecombe now.

14:02:22
Looking back down to the large showjumping ground, whatever it was. There were constant loud horn blasts emanating from there which slightly spoiled an otherwise pleasant and tranquil spot.

14:06:07
Reassuring South Downs Way signs.

A lone tree.

14:13:41
The descent into Saddlescombe was a particularly green and pleasant bit of the walk.

14:15:36

14:29:47
Climbing back up the other side after Saddlescombe now, nearing the Devil's Dyke.

14:42:24
Around the Devil's Dyke now.

Only had a very brief stop here as the bus happened to arrive the same time I did! Until next time...
