Tent
Tuesday 8th November 2022
After the absolute wash-out at the weekend attempting to sleep under a tarp, I had decided I should probably have a tent instead for those sort of weather conditions. It arrived today.

This is the tent I bought - a Nordisk Lofoten 1 ULW. It's tiny but it's also very lightweight - around 500g.

Here it is compared to a bottle of Breaky Bottom to get an idea of the pack size.

Chie found these black truffle crisps.

It's not easy to set up a tent indoors (where are the pegs supposed to go?) but I had a go using some books as anchors.

It's a very saggy pitch because the piles of books kept sliding across the floor, but hopefully you get the idea. It's a really tiny tent, there isn't enough height to sit up inside, it's more like a "hooped bivvy" but I love how light weight it is, and how small the pack is.

In theory I could go camping with just these three things (sleeping bag, sleep pad and tiny tent). Albeit this sleeping bag isn't warm enough for this time of year.

...and they all fit in a carrier bag.
