I piloted a boat along the Thames from Kingston to Hampton Court Palace and back again for Jim's birthday.
London May 2019
My not very healthy lunch in a Warren's Bakery in Kingston - their vegan sausage roll.
The place where we got the boat from in Kingston.
Another group on the boat we were going to be going out on.
Ricardo had brought along a spare hat which I wore as much as a practicality (it was surprisingly sunny today) as for the novelty value.
The group on the boat after we set off. I didn't get many pictures as the boat would tend to veer off towards the bank every time I let go of the tiller.
As the pilot of the boat, per the company's rules, I had to remain sober throughout, so just looked on enviously as the others enjoyed some ESW.
Going under the bridge near Hampton Court, where I had done a U-turn.
After disembarking, appropriately enough we went to a pub called The Boaters.
Wherein they had a vegan burger, which was good to see.
Final stroll past Kingston Bridge again.
On the tube back home, this bucket was a great buy.
