Went to The Angel in Bermondsey to watch the sunset.
London July 2020
The view from Blackfriars station again. I got off the train here and walked the rest of the way.
Glimpse of Tower Bridge from between two tall buildings.
Tower Bridge in full.
Looking back to Tower Bridge after passing it.
On arrival at the Angel - plenty of space to spread out here.
This was in fact my first proper pint of beer at a pub since they fully reopened this month (at the Red Lion in Avebury I'd just had shandy to help rehydrate).
Tower Bridge in silhouette against the evening sun.
Shame about that spiky fence thing!
Andrew cycled over to join me here.
A dog came over to say hello.
Again, shame about the sky fence thing but hopefully you get the idea that it's a very nice spot to watch the sunset.
Zoomed in a bit.
More of the sunset.
Taken through the window on the way to the gents.
Not sure the sculptor had intended this statue to act as a bike rack.
One last shot of the Angel before I headed off.
On my walk back along the Thames, zoomed in on Tower Bridge a bit.
Nicely lit up bits here.
Passing Tower Bridge.
Picnic spot near Tower Bridge.
Attempt to take a picture from Blackfriars station, but just got reflection.
Another still fairly rubbish picture from Blackfriars.
Back at home I decided to cook a very late dinner out in the garden.
