Acton and Ealing
Saturday 18th July 2015
Went to a Japanese Festival in Acton followed by a quick visit to a fun fair on Ealing Common, then pizza at Santa Maria.

Me in the midst of my Saturday morning chores, still in my my pyjamas!
An awful insight into what I look like before I've had a shower and got dressed in the morning.
Finally the strawberry plant is flowering! This variety is quite unusual for having pink flowers.
One of the three tomatoes on the tomato plant.
One of the two surviving apples on the apple tree.
The three tomatoes.
Quite a promising looking bunch of grapes on the vine!
At the Japanese festival in Acton now, Erika fishing for balloons.

And there's Kai.
The main event of the festival, the Anpanman shows.
Charmingly home made look to the costumes.
There's Currypanman and Shokupanman.
...and Dokinchan and Baikinman.
...and there they all are hula dancing. Of course.

Erika eating a taiyaki.
My taiyaki. No fish contained!

Funny little wild playground at the corner of the sports field where the festival was held.
After leaving the festival we stumbled across a fun fair on Ealing Common.
I thought Erika looked rather cool driving this car.
On the next ride Erika chose to drive a bus.
Leaving the fun fair.
Erika was not particularly happy about leaving.
Quick stop in the pub next to Santa Maria pizzeria, the reason we'd headed to Ealing rather than straight back home.
Our pizzas from Santa Maria - not really sure if this was a very late lunch or a very early dinner.
Anyway, these were very good I thought.
The Santa Maria box.
We stumbled across Walpole Park which was quite pleasant.
In Walpole Park.
The first courgette from our courgette plant, which I decided to eat this evening.
The tomato and courgette pasta sauce I made. Can't really see much evidence of the courgettes here!

Erika wanted to take some photos.
Interesting portrait by Erika.
