Highgate Cemetery and Hampstead Heath
Saturday 11th January 2020
I went for an urban walk this morning while Erika was at her Japanese school - took in Highgate Cemetery and Hampstead Heath.

10:42:54
The entrance to Highgate Cemetery West.

10:43:33
There was a pleasing lack of messing about with this sign.

10:50:09
Although I did of course go and see Karl Marx's grave, I didn't get to see the other apparent highlight of the cemetery as suggested by the previous sign.

10:50:26

10:53:45
Interested to see quite a lot of Celtic crosses.

10:54:39

10:56:00

10:56:15

10:59:01

11:00:34
This headstone seemed to get to the crux of the matter rather directly.

11:09:13
Waterlow Park.

11:16:34
A roof in Highgate village.

11:19:41
They couldn't decide what to specialise in.

11:30:04
On to Hampstead Heath.

11:34:09
Finally a bit of blue sky.

11:37:02
At least in this direction.

11:38:02

11:38:16
Still looked a bit grey looking south into London.

11:38:35

11:39:42
...but blue looking back towards Highgate.

11:43:48
I thought the muddled greys of the drizzle over London's skyline seen from a distance looked interesting.

11:43:56
A close-up to demonstrate.

12:27:33
Heading back towards home now. This is the delightful Georgian Little Green Street.

12:31:46
I like the effect of these berries and the blue sky here.

14:25:26
I had taken delivery of a couple of cases of Breaky Bottom yesteryday and thought I would catalogue them.

14:25:34

14:25:56

14:26:24

14:27:30
Also included this very nice card from Peter.

14:28:48
Even the cases are attractive.

14:31:20
Safely stored in the cellar.
