Gavignet and Snowy Heath
Wednesday 10th February 2021
Received some more Gavignet Nuits St Georges today. Went for a walk to the heath in the early evening which still had a dusting of snow on it.
London February 2021
The case of Gavignet Nuits St Georges 2015 which also arrived.
Tom the wine merchant also swapped this for a bottle of Fourrier from my cellar.
Also got some of this, from just outside the Nuits St Georges appellation.
I think I was trying to take a picture of some crocuses (crocii?) on the way to the heath here, but you can barely see them.
On arrival on the heath, the usual shot with the bandstand.
Nice sky this afternoon / evening.
Nice to still see a dusting of snow on the ground.
The wooded bit between Parliament Hill and the barrow.
Nice dusting of snow here among the trees.
The barrow, looking less snowy.
Nice skies again from here.
The sunset, as much as can be seen of it from here.
Theview from the barrow.
Zoomed in a bit on the view.
Nice ray of sun there.
Clouds and snow.
More of the same.
Nice pink cloud.
Sort of cigar shaped.
Silhouette of trees against the early evening sky.
The barrow in the gloaming.
Leaving the barrow and heading home.
