A few pictures from our only-moderately-successful attempt to go out and see some of the Royal Wedding on the streets of London.
London April 2011
This is about as close as we managed to get before the ceremony started, so we couldn't really see anyone going in to Westminster Abbey.
We decided we might have a better chance of seeing something if we moved to the other side of the road.
There's Westminster Abbey and Big Ben in the distance.
Chie with Westminster Abbey in the background.
Me and Westminster Abbey.
Thinking we might not get to see very much at all, we were delighted when we discovered all the carriages (albeit before any royals got on them) would pass by this way.
I think this is actually the carriage Prince William and Kate would be in later on (it's a convertible).
I think this is the Queen's carriage.
Chie with some of the royal carriages behind her.
...and here comes the cavalry!
The cavalary waited here quite a while...
Me and some horse's arses.
The cavalary on the move now!
Lunch in the Horse and Groom in Belgravia - this was a very good omelet.
