My Birthday in Hiroshima
Friday 15th March 2013
My birthday in Hiroshima, including lunch at Pizzariva, and a walk around Shukkeien park.
Japan March 2013
Lock and Co. cufflinks - a birthday present from Chie.
Some birthday macarons from Chie's parents.
My birthday cake was a baumkuchen.
I was a bit confused by what exactly a "working shop" meant.
Pizzariva - where we went for my birthday lunch.
Chie and Erika in Pizzariva - not Erika is wearing her Liberty print dress as its a special occasion!
Me and Erika.
Erika and her Grandparents, with the pizzas being made in the background.
The pizza oven.
My mushroom pizza.
Espresso - I thought the sugar pot was very cute.
The pizza oven again.
Shukkeien gardens in Hiroshima, where we went for a stroll after lunch.
That island is sort of turtle shaped.
Me, Chie and Erika.
Some plum blossoms, which flowe a bit earlier than the cherry blossoms.
I pushed Erika's buggy over these three bridges - slightly nervewracking!
Later on, near where Chie's parents live, I liked that this okonomiyaki place had a hera (spatula) as a door handle.
Me, Erika and some birthday flowers (for my birthday and/or Erika's half birthday) from Chie's Mum's friend Suenaga-san.
Some knock off Campari I bought today.
