A week's holiday on the French Riviera, based in Nice, including trips to Cannes, Juan-les-Pins, Eze, Ventimiglia and Monaco.
London to NiceSaturday 27th June 2009
The first day of our week's holiday on the Cote d'Azur, spent travelling down by train from London to Nice, with a stop off for lunch in Paris en route.
MonacoSunday 28th June 2009
Stayed the night at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel, went gambling at the famous casino, and got confused and bewlidered by the windy streets of Monaco.
MondayMonday 29th June 2009
Started the morning with breakfast at the hotel we'd stayed at the previous night in Monaco, before checking out and getting the train back to Nice. Had a bit of a random wander around Nice in the afternoon, bought a hat, ate some socca, and then made dinner at our "apart hotel" in the evening.

Cannes and VentimigliaWednesday 1st July 2009
Spent the afternoon in Cannes, then popped over the Italian border in the evening for dinner in Ventimiglia.

Another trip by bus out of Nice, this time to visit the Ephrussi de Rothschild villa and gardens. Then later on a quick visit to the Matisse museum, and dinner back at our apartment.
Boat Trip and the NegrescoFriday 3rd July 2009
Went on a short boat trip along the Mediterranean coast from Juans-les-Pins in the afternoon, had dinner at the Zucca Magica in Nice's port, and stayed our last night at the famous Negresco hotel.

Spent the morning in Nice, before getting the train back to London in the afternoon.
