Christmas Eve
Saturday 24th December 2011
Spent the morning antiques shopping in Ashburthon, the afternoon on Darmoor (including cream tea at the Two Bridges) and then back to Dartmouth by way of Newton Abbot for a visit to Ye Olde Cider Bar.

John's Pictures

09:47:03
Chie looking very cahnty, as we were setting off for the day.

10:49:36
At the Venue Cafe in Dartington - I had a craving for a greasy spoon style breakfast. Look at the size of the HP sauce.

10:52:30
Chie and her breakfast.

12:31:20
The only picture I took in Ashburton - I spooted this "Chaps club, est 1884" in a window above an antiques shop.

14:05:48
Signpost at the little spot where we stopped to take in the view on Dartmoor (Bel Tor Corner?).

14:05:56
It had been raining a minute or two earlier - the weather looks rather nice here.

14:06:03
More moor shots.

14:06:45
There was an ice cream van in the car park too.

14:08:37

14:30:29
We also stopped off a Pixie Land - I'd driven past it many times but had never actually been in.

14:30:55
Pixies / gnomes playing football.

14:31:18

14:32:23
I rather fetching collection of gnomes in blue, with matching toadstools.

14:33:25

14:33:57
Chie and the giant toadstool.

14:34:21

14:40:08
A Dartmoor pony.

15:24:14
Cream Tea at the Two Bridges Hotel. We had a long wait for this but it was very good.

15:37:54
Chie in the Two Bridges Hotel.

15:47:05
Some rather agressive geese.

16:56:13
In Ye Olde Cider Bar in Newton Aboot.

Me with my pint of "suicider".
