Driving up to North Wales - Chie's Family in the UK

Driving up to North Wales

Sunday 24th June 2007

A day spent largely in the car, driving up from South Wales to North Wales, with a few stops along the way to admire the scenery.

12:43:57 Chie standing in front of the big lake / reservoir just after Llanidloes (I think it is called Llyn Clywedog?).12:44:45 The whole family with that fabulous view behind them.12:45:12 ...more pictures of the lake...

12:45:22 ...and one last one.13:09:43 ...further along our journey, a view point by the road somewhere between Staylittle and Machynlleth.13:09:56 ...I rather liked the slate here.

13:10:07 Admiring the view - probably one of the best in Wales.13:10:17 Lovely green rolling hils.13:11:32 ...back to the car.

13:13:26 ...these pictures of wing mirrors never come out as interesting as you think they're going to!16:13:12 Our next stop was at Criccieth, and it is something of a tradition to have a quick Cadwallader's here.16:13:17 Ice cream by the sea - lovely.

16:14:12 Bit of a view up to Criccieth castle.16:14:24 The family and their respective ice creams.18:32:43 After arriving, as the weather was so nice, Dad decided we should head straight out for a drive to see some of the local sights - so here we are on the road that leads up to that excellent viewpoint near Aberdaron.

18:33:00 Lovely views to be had along the Llyn peninsula.18:35:55 ...and we couldn't go past without taking a quick look at Bardsey of course.
