Jersey to Guernsey
Wednesday 20th July 2011
Got the ferry from Jersey to Guernsey today, and the weather went back to being pretty miserable again. Spent the morning in St. Helier and the afternoon/evening in St. Peter Port, wandering around both towns, and trying not to get too fed up with the crappy weather.

Elizabeth Castlle in St. Helier, which we didn't get round to visiting.

Welcome to Guernsey, through the rain and sea spray soaked window of the boat.

After checking in to our hotel we went for a wander in the drizzle through the hilly streets of St. Peter Port.

A Guernsey post box. They're blue.

The Cock and Bull pub in St. Peter Port, a bit modern for my tastes but the beer (and cider) wasn't bad.

In an attempt to feel seasidey we shared a small portion of chips on the seafront during a brief period where it wasn't raining much.

The view from the hotel room we were in for our first night on Guernsey. I didn't take any pictures of the room itself as it was a bit pokey.
