12:58:52 Around lunchtime, here's Alex doing some painting. I
think this was the beginning of the board game
phenomenon that was to become Bardsopoly. | 16:16:15 It's important to make sure you have a picture of your sister
standing on a hay bale. | 16:19:35 People striding purposefully to somewhere or other... | 16:26:01 ...ahhh the shop. I think we'd all been to buy
Mars bars. Oddly I never really eat them normally,
but on Bardsey they seem strangely appealing. |
21:29:25 Poor Linda. She thought she was coming round just for
a quiet dinner. It turned out to be a cruel trap
to force her to play Bardsopoly. | 21:30:09 I assume we were drawing towards the end by this point. | 22:50:22 Linda, Luke and Alex had formed a syndicate and cleaned
the rest of us out. Mild mannered, pleasant, amicable
Luke turned out to be a complete monster as soon as any
kind of competition was introduced. Linda too was pretty
ruthless at times. I'd always though board games brought
out the worst in people, and Bardsopoly was no exception! | 00:01:39 In an uncharacteristic fit of something that could almost
be described as talent, I drew caricatures of everyone
to use as the playing pieces. You can just about make
some of them out in this picture. |
00:09:36 Looks like the game is over. Sue breathes a sigh of relief. | 00:17:24 Alex amuses himself shining a torch through the bottom
of a pint of lager... | 00:21:46 ...and again, but in the dark. I'm oddly reminded
of Monty Python and the Holy Grail... | 01:25:40 Is this Alex being consoled by Becca here? Not sure what for! |
