11:35:19 I didn't get up even nearly as early as the previous day.
This is probably just after I got up. I may be washing
my hair here. | 13:54:36 This is lunch I think, which looks distinctly pasta-ish. | 14:43:32 What a beatiful day! Lovely blue sky, hay in the fields,
little old cottages, jumpers for goalposts... | 14:53:09 Dad and Janie outside Carreg Bach, their hideaway from
all the youngsters. |
14:58:38 The three of us went for a walk up the mountain.
Here's Dad and Janie near the base of Lord Newborough's
path, just up behind the chapel. | 15:45:05 I think Dad and Janie went back down fairly soon after we
got to the top, to do some cooking or something. If
memory serves I was attacked by hordes of flying ants
shortly after taking this picture. | 18:13:58 Let it be known that I take whisking VERY seriously.
I'm guessing this is me making batter for Yorkshire
Puddings here. | 18:14:05 Clearly I whisk so fast the camera can't keep up! |
18:14:57 It some point I guess it is also mandatory to get a certain
amount of flour on one's face. | 19:28:46 The guys throwing frisbies out the front of Plas Bach. | 19:29:27 I'm quite pleased with this mid action shot of
Martin running for the frisby. | 19:43:50 Dad and Luke enjoying the wall out the front
of Plas Bach. It is a great wall. |
20:17:42 This must be dinner then. I'm assuming it was some kind
of roast meal, what with me making Yorkshires earlier,
and the fact that it was Sunday and everything. | 20:19:20 Me looking quite unhappy at the sight of meat. | 20:52:18 After dinner we retired outside, for what
was a lovely few hours drinking, chatting and watching
the sun go down. | 20:52:29 I'm really rather proud of this picture. There's something
quite wonderful about it that I can't quite put my finger
on. Maybe it's the colour the fading sun has given everything? |
20:55:34 There's an exposure fault (a big pink line) in the
original, perhaps understandably as I was taking a picture
of the sun here. Given my somewhat basic level
of photographic know-how I'd tried to hide
the sun behind this wine glass. In the end I think the
wine glass really added something.
I very rarely retouch
pictures from my digital camera, but it was really easy
to do in this case, and, to be honest, I'm fairly
pleased with the result. | 20:56:39 In a second attempt I employed Alex's head to block
out the sun. Conclusion: Alex's head is bigger and less
transparent than a wine glass. | 20:59:15 Hmmm, well the light has probably gone a little too far
now... | 21:02:33 It's a bit of a shame about the finger on the left
hand side of this picture. Still though, what a big
strong lad Alex is! |
21:02:43 More to the point, I think we did actually have to jump
for it in the end, proving Becca is also a big strong lass! | 21:05:59 Not sure who this is on Alex's back here. Maybe Lucy,
maybe Sue. | 21:12:18 Bizarre picture this one, but oddly I kind of like it. | 21:33:20 This was not in any way staged - the snail got there all of
it's own accord... I'm not sure that red wine is particularly
good for snails though, so I did gently remove it afterwards... |
21:34:47 ...although not before getting another picture of me and my
snaily friend... | 21:34:57 ..well another one as well. You can't really see the snail
though. A bit too dark. | 22:04:26 Later on, Dad and Janie went back up to Carreg Bach, nd
the rest of us congregated in the girls' room. | 22:17:11 For some reason we had a blue glowey stick (Martin is
holding it here). |
22:17:52 A picture with the lights and flash off - amazing - you
can still see the blue glowey stick. A bit like
a light sabre fight by night. | 22:23:11 A closeup of the blue glowey stick. | 23:31:18 I don't remember this picture being taken so I may well
have actually been asleep here. I guess Alex took this
as he was probably the only other person who understood
the somewhat mystical operating procedure for my camera. |
