07:44:17 Morning... just Luke and John left, strangely the
only two that had sleeping bags with them.
| 07:45:07 What I look like first thing in the morning.
| 14:54:23 After lunch, we decided to go for a walk right down to the tip of the island.
Heres a picture of the harbour as we went past.
| 15:16:22 I wanted to make a collection of Bardsey textures, so heres some stones.
|
15:28:56 If you go to the harbour at the right time, you can usually spot at least one
seal sitting on the rocks. Apparently they do this to aid their digestion.
Unfortunately, however close they appear to the eye, they never seem
that close to the camera. A zoom lens, a zoom lens, my kingdom for
a zoom lens...
| 15:29:37 Believe it or not, those blobs in the middle of the picture are
a group of seals.
| 15:30:35 An interesting view back across the island from the harbour.
| 15:37:29 Theres an evident pecking order in seal society. The most prominent
seal, generally the biggest, appears to be the one most out of the water
here. The others sort of circle round him, as the spot is obviously
very desirable in seal terms, but he snorts loudly at them and
they swim off.
|
15:47:05 More textures... this time seaweed.
| 15:55:30 A last attempt to get a good picture of the seals.
| 16:00:37 Blimey, Nick is taller than the lighthouse.
| 16:01:44 Nick holds up the lighthouse... well sort of.
|
16:13:44 The Lighthouse.
| 16:26:38 A view back across Bardsey from the tip of the island.
| 16:27:54 Assault on the bird watching hut.
| 16:34:20 Me in a catalogue pose.
|
16:34:57 Another view back across the island.
| 16:56:28 The sign attached to the boathouse.
